Hiring activity in Media and Entertainment industry surged 14% in August 2024, year-on-year, according to a news report quoting job search platform Foundit.
Key roles such as “content creation and strategy”, “digital media management”, “video production and editing,” “social media management” and “PR7 communications” were much in demand, said the report.
Emerging tech like AI, VR and data analytics are leading to new roles. Gig-based jobs in graphic design, writing and video production constituted 26% of the gig market said the report quoting the data.
Marketing and IT roles also saw a surge in hiring. Comms and marketing roles witnessed strong annual growth thanks to growing demand for digital skills.
Performance analytics, AI-driven strategies are in demand with hiring uptick in Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune, said the report.
Online hiring has sustained its upward growth, said the report quoting Foundit data, up 15% annually.
