VIP Industries Chairman Dilip Piramal on Monday said that the family's next generation was not keen on running the company. He said this to media houses with regards to the announcement that the group entities plan to sell 32 per cent stake to private equity investors and other interested parties.
"We are a family-owned business, and the next generation is not very keen on running it," Parimal was quoted as saying.
He has also spoken about the company facing losses in the past four quarters and the brand losing its market share.
Parimal also revealed that VIP was facing issues at the management level too.
