The brand has collaborated with the Minion franchise and launched its new Cream Banana Flavored Lollipops with an influencer campaign

Alpenliebe, the candy brand from Perfetti Van Melle India, has launched its new product, the Alpenliebe Cream Banana Flavored Lollipop, designed in association with the Minion franchise. 

To highlight the launch, the brand came up with an AR filter selfie microsite that was amplified through a quirky influencer campaign with mom and kid influencers. Wavemaker India spearheaded the development of this creative concept and the influencer leg was executed by Greenroom.

The brand came up with an interesting creative concept - #WheresTheBanana to showcase the product. The ideas were set in the context that the Minions have taken the bananas and it’s now up to the influencers and their kids to solve the mystery. 

Each of the influencers were given a unique challenge that would lead them to finding the missing bananas. Mahi, Jay and their child decided the winner through a Minion Dance Off while Paramveer has to accomplish the Banana Heist. These engaging storylines made it fun for the viewers to remain engaged.

The big prize waiting for the influencers was of course the discovery of the Alpenliebe Cream Banana Flavored Lollipop that they thoroughly enjoyed before going to the microsite and using the AR Filter to click a selfie with their favourite Minion. The tech innovation was seamlessly integrated into the influencer content that also gave clear instructions to the audience.

Alpenliebe deployed a mix of 5 mom and kid influencers for the campaign. Each of the videos surpassed expectations in terms of performance and the campaign overall reached to 730k+ people with the videos garnering 650k+ views and 80k engagements. The positive and heartfelt comments on the videos reflected the audience’s liking for this interactive campaign.
