Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will be the chief guest at the Samachar4Media Journalism 40 Under 40 awards ceremony, organized by the exchange4media Group's Hindi website, Samachar4Media. She will honour selected young journalists from across the country and address them.

This event will be held at the India International Centre (IIC) in New Delhi on July 28. Registrations for the event are open.

The Samachar4Media Journalism 40 Under 40 awards is a premier platform to honour young journalists across the country who have distinguished themselves in journalism through their hard work, talent, and outstanding work. 40 young journalists selected from across the country will be honored on this occasion.

Rekha Gupta is currently the 9th Chief Minister of Delhi. She was sworn in as Chief Minister on 20 February, 2025. She represents the Shalimar Bagh constituency of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. 

Rekha Gupta began her public life in student politics and led the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) as its General Secretary and President. She subsequently played an active role in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), being elected as a councillor three times in a row. In her public life spanning over three decades, she has played an active role in organizational, public service, women's empowerment, and public interest issues.

The Samachar4Media Journalism 40 Under 40 awards is a platform that recognizes and honors journalists under the age of 40 who have set new benchmarks in the media world through their work. This platform encourages young talent and provides them with an opportunity to learn from and interact with senior media professionals, policymakers, and prominent public figures.
