Raj Gopal Iyer has stepped down as Head of Growth Marketing at Croma, concluding over a decade-long association with the company. 

With a career spanning more than two decades, Iyer has built an impressive track record across advertising, digital sales, marketing, and brand strategy, holding pivotal roles at renowned Indian brands and global media giants. He began his journey in ad sales at Primetime Media, where he managed key accounts for Doordarshan and Sun TV. He later joined Sony Entertainment Television as Group Manager, where he successfully increased annual ad revenues for Sony TV, SET Max, and AXN, delivering an impressive INR 20 Cr.

Iyer’s expertise further grew during his tenure at Star India as Associate Vice President of Digital Ad Sales, where he was instrumental in launching digital ad initiatives for major brands like Intel and Unilever in the Southern region. At JadooWorks, he expanded into animation and gaming content, collaborating with industry leaders like Disney and Warner Bros. to promote original works, including Krishna. His role as Regional Sales Head for the Times of India Group saw him monetize out-of-home (OOH) assets, including the Delhi Metro, achieving substantial annual revenue. As Business Head at Percept Picture Company, he led a team of 15 in TV content production, generating INR 20 Cr.

Following national sales roles at Big FM and regional operations at Radio One, Iyer launched his own venture, Blue Ocean Media & Consulting, offering customized marketing and content strategies for startups such as Farms2Kitchen and the Indian Hockey League. In his role at Infiniti Retail Limited, Iyer led growth marketing initiatives at Croma, managing brand, PR, and digital strategies that boosted both online engagement and in-store experiences. With deep expertise in brand marketing, digital strategy, and P&L management, Iyer has consistently driven brand growth and tangible results throughout his career.
