Prajakta Koli was awarded the ‘Influential Personality of The Year’ honour at the Indian Digital Marketing Awards (IDMA). The 16th edition of the awards was held on Thursday in Mumbai. From her first upload as @MostlySane to becoming one of India's most respected content creators, actors, authors, and change-makers, Prajakta’s rise is the kind that rewrites playbooks. Over the past few years, Koli has become one of India’s most popular content creators. Since launching her channel @MostlySane in 2015, the 32-year-old has built a following of 8.7 million on the platform.
Whether it’s her long-standing collaboration with Gillette Venus, her quirky brand film for Bata Floatz, or social storytelling in partnership with UNDP India as their first-ever Youth Climate Champion, every association reflects her sharp instinct for meaningful and value-aligned content. Over the years, Prajakta has worked with a wide spectrum of brands, from Amazon, Cadbury, Tinder, Netflix and Nykaa to L’Oréal and Clinique.
Koli, born on June 27, 1993, is best known for her starring role in the Netflix romantic drama series Mismatched. She has also played a supporting role in the film Jugjugg Jeeyo (2022). She studied at Vasant Vihar High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Mass Media from V. G. Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Mulund. On February 25, 2025, Koli tied the knot with lawyer Vrishank Khanal in Karjat.
Every year, IDMA celebrates excellence, innovation, and creativity, honouring campaigns that stand out for their impressive content, insight and impact. The big wins of the spectacular awards night were bagged by Hindustan Unilever Limited, Mondelez India, and Mindshare India.
