India box office earnings stand at Rs 1,066 cr: Ormax Media

Movies that released this September have earned Rs 1,066 crore at the domestic box office, according to Ormax Media's report.
The earnings were driven by Devara Part-I.
The cumulative box office earnings for Jan-September is at Rs 7,949 crore, 9.5% down from the same period last year.
While Devara Part-I has made gross earnings of Rs 337 crore, Tumbbad has made over Rs 40 crore, more than twice what it made at the time of the original release.
The report says that of the top 10 films in September, four are from Telegu cinema.
