The International Cricket Council's (ICC) has invited agencies to bid for the marketing and public relations mandate for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027, which will be hosted across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia in October-November 2027.
Through the tender, IBC is seeking to appoint a marketing and PR services provider to develop and execute an integrated marketing and communications programme aimed at building awareness, driving fan engagement and generating excitement in the lead-up to and throughout the tournament.
According to the tender notice, the appointed agency will work closely with the ICC, the Cricket World Cup Local Organising Committee (LOC) and other stakeholders to deliver campaign strategy, creative and content development, milestone activations, media engagement and amplification across key markets.
To be considered, applicants must submit their company's legal details, a signed non-disclosure agreement (NDA), and a company portfolio of no more than 15 pages highlighting relevant experience in delivering marketing and PR services for major international sporting events, particularly in Southern Africa. Agencies are also required to provide the contact details of the proposed project lead.
IBC said only applicants that meet the eligibility criteria and have signed its standard NDA will receive the invitation to tender (ITT) documentation.
The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027 is scheduled to take place across three host nations—South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia—and is expected to be one of the biggest global sporting events on the cricket calendar.
