Amazon Prime Video has made changes to its leadership team to help make decisions faster and focus more on areas like sports, advertising, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The company has announced that Jay Marine will now take charge of Prime Video’s U.S. operations, in addition to continuing his leadership over global sports and advertising. This expanded role comes as Albert Cheng, who previously oversaw the U.S. Prime Video business, steps into a newly defined position focused on driving AI-related initiatives within the entertainment space.

The leadership transition was outlined in a memo to employees by Mike Hopkins, Head of Prime Video and Amazon Studios.

Cheng, a former executive at Disney’s ABC Television Group, has been with Amazon for a decade, having held several senior roles including Chief Operating Officer at Amazon MGM Studios. Marine, another long-standing Amazon executive, has been leading the company’s global sports business since 2022.
