Veteran journalist Dasu Krishnamoorty passed away on Wednesday morning in New Jersey after a brief illness.
Krishnamoorty was associated with journalism for over seven decades, beginning his career in the mid 1950s with stints in the Sentinel, Deccan Chronicle, the Indian Express in Vijayawada. He was also with the Times of India in Ahmedabad and The Patriot in New Delhi.
He belonged to the first batch of the journalism course of Osmania University 1954-55.
After his retirement, Krishnamoorthy worked as an associate professor of The Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Delhi, and as guest faculty of OU, AP Open University, the University of Hyderabad.
