Siddharth Purohit joins News Pinch as Executive Producer

Journalist Siddharth Purohit has joined media platform News Pinch as Executive Producer.

Prior to joining News Pinch, Purohit was Chief Sub-Editor at Oneindia, where he worked from April 2025 to October 2026. During his tenure, he led the International Relations and Defence coverage team. His responsibilities included editorial planning, content management and news production for various digital formats.

At Oneindia, he led coverage of key developments, including Operation Sindoor, the Delhi blast and CJP protests. He also worked on podcasts, explainers, analytical reports and research-based content. His role extended to branded content, from planning and production to hosting and execution. He also handled live broadcasts and real-time digital coverage of major events, along with exclusive foreign affairs stories and digital articles for Oneindia's Hindi website.

Before that, Purohit worked as Senior Digital Producer at Republic World from March 2024 to May 2025. He covered international affairs and worked on editorial strategy, content strategy and audience growth planning. His responsibilities included producing explainers on geopolitics, foreign affairs and defence, as well as managing content production and publishing across digital platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and X.

From January 2022 to March 2024, Purohit was Senior Producer at Jagran New Media. He worked on ground reports, documentaries and explainer videos covering international relations, geopolitics and global affairs. He also contributed to editorial planning, content strategy, audience growth and the development of new editorial formats and content projects. In addition, he contributed to international and digital news coverage for Jagran English.

Purohit has also worked with media organisations such as Zee News and ABP Network. At Zee News, he served as Correspondent from December 2019 to June 2020.

He worked as a Reporter at ABP Network from June 2018 to October 2019, covering crime and politics. His coverage included the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Burari case, the Pulwama attack and the 2019 Kumbh Mela. He also investigated crime-related cases in Delhi and covered Assembly elections across various states.

Earlier, Purohit worked as Copy Editor at Dainik Bhaskar from March 2018 to June 2018. His responsibilities included editing copy for the web, writing headlines, developing news metadata keywords for videos and publishing stories on the website.

Before that, he worked as a Broadcast Journalist at Bhopal-based news channel IND24 from July 2016 to February 2018, where he covered political news.
