Investing today has never been more accessible. But with a growing universe of investment products, digital platforms, financial influencers and investment advice available at the click of a button, knowing where and how to invest responsibly has become equally important.

Recognising this, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), along with Securities Market Partners (SMPs) — Stock Exchanges, Depositories, Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) and National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) has launched a new integrated investor awareness campaign, ‘Samajh Se Investing Simple’,

The campaign conceptualised and created by Rediffusion has gone live across all media platforms.  ‘Samajh Se Investing Simple’ encourages investors to understand different investment products, their features and associated risks before investing. It also highlights the importance of verifying the authenticity of investment platforms and payment requests, while encouraging investors to make decisions based on understanding rather than impulse, hearsay or unverified advice.

For Rediffusion, the challenge was to take something as complex, and often intimidating, as investor education simple – and find a communication thought that could be understood instantly across geographies and languages.

Pramod Sharma, National Creative Director, Rediffusion, said, “The opportunity was not to make investing sound simpler than it is, but to make the understanding of investing simpler. ‘Samajh Se Investing Simple’ puts understanding at the heart of investing. The more you know, the better you can decide. And that is the role communication can play — making financial awareness accessible, relatable and relevant to everyday Indians.”

The campaign is designed as an integrated investor awareness initiative, bringing together education and awareness across multiple touchpoints. Rather than telling investors simply what to invest in, it encourages them to first understand what they are investing in.

The campaign also addresses some of the increasingly important aspects of responsible investing, understanding risk, checking the authenticity of investment platforms and payment requests, and making investment decisions based on credible information.

The campaign is based on four pillars - Understand Before You Invest. Choose Regulated Investment Products. Start Early, Stay Invested. Beware of Frauds.
