Radio Mango has joined hands with Forca Kochi FC and Calicut FC—two newly formed teams in the Super League Kerala—to fuel excitement and rally support for local football.
The campaign’s mission is to make the local population feel that these clubs truly belong to them. Under the theme of "Tiki Taka," the initiative symbolized passing the ball through iconic historic locations, culminating at a final goalpost.
In just 10 days, the campaign covered over 1,000 kilometers in Calicut and Kochi, visiting 15 colleges, 12 schools, and 30 public locations, reaching out to people from all walks of life and creating a strong support network for the clubs.
In Calicut, where popular filmmaker and actor Basil Joseph serves as the brand ambassador, the campaign concluded with a fan jersey launch and team introduction event, offering fans the chance to meet the players up close. Meanwhile, in Kochi, the campaign kicked off with a team introduction and culminated in a thrilling inaugural match, with fans cheering for their home team, Forca Kochi FC.
“We're not hoping for a revolution but the start of one. We hope this will open opportunities for grassroots-level players and help them achieve bigger things,” said actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, the Forca Kochi team co-owner.
This extensive outreach has not only sparked excitement but has also fostered a deep sense of ownership and connection among local communities, marking a new chapter in Kerala’s football legacy.
