Prof. K.G. Suresh honored at Media Federation of India’s 19th Media Excellence Awards

Several media educators were also recognized for their contributions in different fields

The Media Federation of India held its 19th Media Excellence Awards Ceremony in the capital, recognizing contributions to journalism and media education.

Prof. Dr. K.G. Suresh, former Vice Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCU) Bhopal and former Director-General of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), received the Best Media Guru of the Year award.

In the journalism category, Ashok Shrivastava of DD News received the Best Male Anchor award, while Shobhna Yadav of Zee News was named Best Female Anchor.

The event was attended by Shri Suresh Jain, National Organization Secretary of Bharat Vikas Parishad; Dr. Sandeep Marwah, founder of Film City Noida; and Prof. Dr. Sanjay Dwivedi, former Director-General of IIMC.

Several media educators were recognized for their contributions in different fields, Dr. Sonali Srivastava (Sharda University) – Best Media Educator for Community Radio Broadcasting, Lalitank Jain (IMS Noida) – Best Media Educator for Advertising and Cinema, Aditi Agarwal (K.R. Mangalam University) – Best Media Educator for TV Journalism, Dr. Aqib Batt (K.R. Mangalam University) – Best Media Educator for Communication Research, Dr. Divya Girdhar (Maharishi Markandeshwar University) – Best Media Educator for Media Research, Dr. Sandeep Kumar (Auro University) – Best Media Educator for Broadcast Journalism and Dr. Ruchi Goswami (IIS University) – Best Media Educator for Public Relations.

The ceremony also included student performances and the launch of "Vyavaharik Patrakarita" (Practical Journalism) by Prof. Dr. Sachin Batra.
