The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has constituted a high-level Inter-Departmental Committee (IDC) to examine the content of Satluj, the recently released film starring Diljit Dosanjh, as per media reports.

According to reports, the committee has been tasked with reviewing the film's content and will submit its recommendations to the Centre.

Satluj, originally titled Punjab 95, is based on the life of Punjab human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, who documented alleged cases of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances in the state during the 1990s. Dosanjh plays the lead role in the film.

The film began streaming on OTT last week after undergoing a title change from Punjab 95. However, it was removed from the platform shortly after its release.

The newly constituted IDC will now assess the film and determine whether any further action or recommendations are required.
