AP Dhillon’s Mumbai Concert: Viral moments featuring Tara Sutaria & Sanjay Dutt

Punjabi-Canadian artist AP Dhillon recently performed a concert as a part of his tour named One of One India Tour. His event was organized at the Jio World Convention Centre.

Like in most concerts with large turnouts, footage of the event started flooding the social networks while the event was still in progress. However, the discussion that trailed the event in Mumbai was not so much about the performance but the two occasions on which movie stars were on the stage for brief periods. Images of movie stars Tara Sutaria and Sanjay Dutt started flooding the networks following the event.

Tara Sutaria’s Segment goes Viral

One of the most widely shared clips from the concert features Tara Sutaria, who performed on stage with Dhillon during his performance of the song Thodi Si Daaru. The fan-recorded clips reveal Sutaria performing the song with singer Dhillon for a brief part of the performance.

In one of the videos, the two were seen hugging, after which Dhillon kissed Sutaria on her cheek as she moved off the stage.

The same video sequence captured Sutaria's boyfriend, Veer Pahariya, in the audience, with viewers closely examining his reactions. Within hours, multiple versions were doing the rounds online, often with captions pointing out the interaction between the two and the audience's reaction.

Social media reactions to the moment were certainly all over the place. Some users described the exchange as a routine on-stage interaction during a live performance, while others questioned the optics of the gesture given the audience context. Comments ranged, "This is being blown out of proportion," to more speculative observations, “If the genders were swapped, the reactions would be completely different,” that put Pahariya's presence front and center. 

Others took a more sympathetic view of Pahariya’s reaction, with posts saying, “I genuinely feel for him in that moment,” capturing the emotional reading many viewers projected onto the footage.

Sanjay Dutt Surprise Entry Becomes Fan Highlight

Whereas the performance of Tara Sutaria left social media divided, the surprise entry of the actor Sanjay Dutt received totally positive feedback.

Video footage doing the rounds on the internet reveals how Dutt, who has managed a presence in the Hindi film industry for decades, entered the stage at the Jio World Center, Dhillon greeted him with a mark of utmost respect.

The moment was celebrated by the audience on all platforms, and a comment posted on Instagram described the moment as "a historical collab of the two huge icons of Indian cinema," while another wrote, "Sanju Baba brought the house down." Moments of the exchange were viewed in millions in a matter of hours, with the audience appreciating the blend of modern music and the Bollywood legacy symbolized in Dutt's entry.
