OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Pulse, a personalized notification feature that delivers curated daily updates to users. Currently in preview for Pro subscribers on mobile, the service will be extended to Plus and other users in the near future.

Pulse compiles a daily set of visual cards with information most relevant to each individual. The updates are drawn from a combination of chat history, memory, user feedback, and connected services like Gmail and Google Calendar. Every night, the system reviews this data and prepares a tailored digest for the following day. Updates can range from reminders on ongoing discussions to quick dinner ideas or plans to achieve long-term goals such as triathlon training.

“We’re building ChatGPT to help you reach your goals. Since ChatGPT launched, that's always meant coming to ask a question. However, that's limited by what you know to ask for and always puts the burden on you for the next step. Today we're releasing a preview of ChatGPT Pulse to Pro users on mobile,” OpenAI explained in its blog post.

The service gives users significant control through a ‘curate’ option, enabling them to request specific types of updates—whether a Friday events roundup, learning tips, or professional sports insights. Feedback tools like thumbs up or thumbs down help refine future recommendations. If Calendar is connected, ChatGPT can even draft meeting agendas, remind users of birthdays, or suggest restaurants for trips.

All Pulse content undergoes strict policy checks to ensure harmful or unsafe material does not surface. “This is the first step toward a more useful ChatGPT that proactively brings you what you need, helping you make more progress so you can get back to your life,” the company added.

By releasing Pulse first to Pro users, OpenAI aims to test the feature’s impact and gather early responses before a broader rollout. The move highlights the company’s larger vision of turning ChatGPT into a predictive assistant—not just a tool for answering queries, but one that anticipates and supports user needs.
