Ola, Uber take to Twitter bashing, follow likes of Zomato & Snapdeal
Since the launch of their integrated app, Ola took to the rising fetish over Twitter trolls, and went on to start a friendly exchange of tweets with TaxiForSure, later joined by Uber. The banter went viral
Ola paid out $200 million to buy smaller rival TaxiForSure in March, and now it has begun to integrate the service into its own app. Last week, Ola has integrated the technology based cab hailing service for more fleet of radio taxis. As per the press statement issued by Ola Cabs, this convenience of service will be available in Delhi and Mumbai and gradually be extended to other cities in next few weeks.
The news doesn't end here.
Since the launch of the integrated app, Ola took to the rising fetish over Twitter trolls, and went on to start a friendly exchange of tweets with TaxiForSure.
This was the conversation that started it all:
The ‘home fight’ could have ended there, if Uber didn't have interfered and get trolled itself.
To this, Ola replied:
This meant the 7 times amount that Uber receives for their surcharges. Uber, though offers cabs at a minimum rate, even less expensive than autorickshaws, is most of the time accompanied with surge pricing. Ola meant to say that Uber's offering of Rs. 7/km is actually 7 times more than what should have been billed.
Once the two brands stopped the banter, Twitterati took over.
Twitterati have been on Uber bashing since then. Some stood by Uber, some by Ola. But this Twitter bashing sure did give netizens something to quibble about. For more updates, be socially connected with us on
