Online gaming firm Gameskraft has announced it will lay off around 120 employees as it restructures operations in the wake of India’s new online gaming regulations, media networks have reported.
The move follows the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which bars all forms of real-money online games while promoting e-sports and other permitted formats.

Gameskraft described the decision as “very heavy-hearted,” adding that further structural changes may follow as it adapts to the “complex and far-reaching” implications of the law.
