Arundhati Bhattacharya roped in as CEO of Salesforce

The former SBI chairman will now report to Ulrik Nehammer, the General Manager of Salesforce APAC

Former SBI chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya has been appointed as the new CEO of Salesforce, according to media reports. She will take over as the software company’s Chairman and CEO from April 20. In her new role, Bhattacharya will report to Ulrik Nehammer, the General Manager of APAC region.

 With SBI, she skippered bank through a critical period when other banks in the public sector were going through a tough phase with regards to loans. Her intervention helped increase investments in technology after she hired a chief technology officer from Barclays. The move gave SBI an edge over other smaller tech-centric banks and fintech companies.
