India heads into the festival’s final awards night with three shortlisted entries across two categories. While the country did not secure any shortlists in Dan Wieden Titanium Lions or Glass: The Lion for Change, it has one contender in Sustainable Development Goals and two in Film.

So far, India has secured 24 shortlisted entries at Cannes Lions 2026, converting five of them into Lions.

Sustainable Development Goals: 1 Shortlist

India’s sole shortlisted entry in the Sustainable Development Goals category is ‘Mothers of Courage – Shifting Societal Norms, One Conversation at a Time’ for Shiksha Chaupal, a community-led initiative championed by women to support girls’ education.

The campaign, submitted by Mantra Social Services, Bangalore and ShikshaLokam, Bangalore, focuses on empowering women to lead conversations that encourage girls’ education and challenge societal norms at the grassroots level.

Film: 2 Shortlists

India has secured two shortlisted entries in Film.

‘Everybody Loves a Good Fight’ for Battlegrounds Mobile India by Enormous, Mumbai, has made the shortlist.

Joining it is ‘Baatan Hi Baatan Mein (Love in a Few Words) for WhatsApp by Fundamental, Mumbai.

How India fared in these categories in 2025

Last year, India secured one shortlist in the Sustainable Development Goals category and converted it into a Silver Lion for Ariel ‘#ShareTheLoad by BBDO India.

The country also earned two Film shortlists, while Dan Wieden Titanium Lions and Glass: The Lion for Change did not feature any Indian shortlisted entries.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2026 concludes tonight, with the final set of Lions and the coveted Grand Prix for Good set to be announced.
