Cellphone advertising in print grew 1.7 times during January-August 2010, as compared to January-August 2009. Nokia Corporation was the number one advertiser of cellular phones in print during this period. LG Cookie Pep GD 510 had the maximum ad volumes among the new brands of cellular phones advertised in print.
Big FM remains the hot favourite in the Bangalore market as per RAM data for the five-week average ending with Week 35. According to the market share figures of radio channels during the last five weeks, Big FM ended Week 35 with a market share of 19.3 per cent.
It is learnt that Shankkar Aiyar has quit India Today as Managing Editor. Aiyar had been with the India Today Group for over 13 years. Rumour circles were abuzz with talks of Aiyar’s promotion. The cause for his parting ways with the India Today Group is not known yet.
