Sourav Ganguly re-elected as Chairman of the ICC

 VVS Laxman was retained as a panel member, according to ICC’s statement

Sourav Ganguly has been reappointed as the chairperson of the ICC Men's Cricket Committee, with his former India teammate VVS Laxman also selected as one of the panel members, according to an announcement from the global governing body on Sunday.

 

Ganguly, who served as India's captain from 2000 to 2005, was first appointed as the committee's chair in 2021, taking over from Anil Kumble, who had completed the maximum allowable tenure of three, three-year terms. Ganguly is currently 52 years old.

 

former Afghanistan cricketer Hamid Hassan, West Indies legend Desmond Haynes, South Africa’s Test and ODI captain Temba Bavuma, and former England batsman Jonathan Trott are also on the committee.

 

The ICC Women’s Cricket Committee has been restructured, with former New Zealand off-spinner Catherine Campbell appointed as its chair. The committee also features former Australian cricketer Avril Fahey and Pholetsi Moseki from Cricket South Africa.
