Paytm narrows losses to Rs 663 crore in FY25

Paytm reported a narrower loss for the financial year ended March 31, 2025, as lower employee and operating costs offset a decline in revenue from operations.
Total revenue stood at Rs 7,624.9 crore in FY2025, down 27.5 per cent from Rs 10,524.7 crore in FY2024. Revenue from operations dropped to Rs 6,900.4 crore from Rs 9,977.8 crore, while other income rose to Rs 724.5 crore from Rs 546.9 crore, marking a 32.5 per cent increase.
Total expenses fell to Rs 9,095.9 crore in FY2025 compared with Rs 11,644.6 crore in FY2024, led by a 28.4 per cent decline in employee benefit expenses to Rs 3,288.1 crore and lower other operating costs of Rs 5,118.8 crore, down 18.1 per cent year-on-year.
As a result, Paytm’s net loss narrowed to Rs 663.2 crore in FY2025, compared with a loss of Rs 1,422.4 crore in FY2024, reflecting a 53.3 per cent improvement.
