Initiative has won the media duties for Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, according to highly placed sources.
The sources say that the account is estimated to be worth more than Rs 200 crore. It was previously handled by Madison Media.
Xiaomi, which has a vision of ‘innovation for everyone’, entered India in 2014. Within just three years of its launch in the country, the company became one of the fastest brands to have crossed the 25 million mark in sales. India is one of the company’s largest markets outside China and the fastest growing among international markets.
Xiaomi, with 28.9 per cent market share, led the Indian smartphone market in 2018, according to IDC report. Its market share in smart TV market stands at 33.5 per cent.
