The Editors Guild of India will host the Prem Bhatia Journalism Awards & Memorial Lecture 2025 on August 11 at 6:30 PM, at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi. The highlight of the evening will be a keynote address by Sanjiv Khanna, former Chief Justice of India.

A celebration of courageous journalism and commitment to public interest, the event will bring together the nation’s most respected editors, journalists, and public intellectuals. Instituted in memory of the legendary journalist Prem Bhatia, the annual awards honour outstanding contributions to political and environmental reporting in India.

The evening will see two awards: Excellence in Political Journalism & Excellence in Environmental Journalism.

This year’s lecture and award ceremony promise to be a thought-provoking gathering that underscores the vital role of a free press in a thriving democracy.
