Vikram Tanna, Head of Advertising Sales & Business Head of Regional Clusters, South Asia at Discovery Inc is believed to have stepped down. Sources in the industry confirmed that Tanna has put in his papers last week and is expected to move out by April. Little information is yet available on his next move.

Tanna has led Product and Revenue functions across Digital, Broadcast, Gaming and Music verticals in the media and entertainment business. In his current role with Discovery Inc., he heads advertising sales across television and digital platforms in South Asia for a product suite compromising 11 unique content channels spanning multiple genres including – factual entertainment, lifestyle, and kids entertainment.

Before Discovery, Tanna was Senior Vice President at Star India, leading Product & Revenue for three major channel clusters - Hindi Movies & Music and HSM Regional Channels (West Bengal & Maharashtra). During his stint at Star India, he also led the revenue function for other verticals including digital, events and English premium content. He has also held a senior leadership position at Zapak Digital Entertainment’s gaming venture.

Tanna is an alumnus of ISB. He speaks at management institutes across the country on diverse topics relevant to the media and entertainment industry
