Homegrown sneaker brand Comet has raised ₹100 crore in a Series B funding round led by Verlinvest.
The round has received backing from existing investors Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, along with angel investors Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Ajit Mohan and Anand Ahuja.
Comet is expected to use the fresh capital to step up its retail expansion, enhance its product and technology capabilities, and deepen its research and development efforts. This includes investments in proprietary sole moulds and tooling needed to develop and launch new footwear designs.
The sneaker brand is reportedly set to reach 10 stores this month and is targeting a network of 20 outlets by the end of FY27. The expansion is aimed at strengthening its offline presence while building a broader omnichannel footprint across India.
