Ali Harris Shere steps down as Britannia’s marketing head; Vinay Subramanyam takes over

Ali Harris Shere has stepped down from his role of Marketing Director of Britannia Industries Ltd. Shere is all set to join ITC Ltd. The development has been confirmed to exchaneg4media by highly placed sources. Britannia, meanwhile, has appointed Vinay Subramanyam as the Marketing Head.
Shere has been one of Britannia’s longest serving top executives who had been associated with the company for over two decades. He has played a key role in Britannia’s pan-India expansion. Shere started his career with Britannia in 1998 as a management trainee. Over the course of time, he rose to become the face of the company as far as its marketing strategy is concerned.
Subramanyam has been with Britannia since February 2015. He has over 17 years of sales & marketing experience in the FMCG sector with companies such as Kellogg's and General Mills. He earlier headed Britannia’s joint venture with Greece’s cakes & confectionery major Chipita. Subramanyam holds a management degree from the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad.
