Another January week, another round of ads that made waves — or at least tried to. The world of advertising is as unpredictable as it gets, and this week was no exception. From bold moves to missed opportunities, we’ve seen it all. Whether it was a tear-jerker that tugged at the heartstrings or a cheeky campaign that had us scratching our heads, these ads either hit it out of the park or, well, completely missed the mark.

So, buckle up, because we’re diving into the good, the bad, and the downright confusing of this week’s advertising world. Let’s see who brought their A-game and who should maybe rethink their strategy.

Centrefruit ad

Centrefruit’s latest ad, “Mood Ting Tong League,” starring cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur, cleverly highlights the fun of gully cricket with a tennis ball-shaped gum twist. Its vibrant execution and relatable theme strike a chord, making it a hit. The playful tone aligns perfectly with Centrefruit's quirky brand identity, engaging cricket-loving audiences effectively.

Indriya Bridal ad

Indriya’s Bridal launch, featuring Aditi Rao Hydari and Shaheer Sheikh, beautifully captures a bride’s emotional connection to her jewellery amidst the grandeur of Udaipur’s Shiv Niwas Palace. The heartfelt storytelling and luxurious visuals make it a hit, resonating with aspirational brides and elevating Indriya’s brand image effectively.

Fujifilm Breast cancer awareness ad

Fujifilm India's breast cancer awareness ad, "Maa's Fight Through My Eyes," portrays a survivor's journey in rural West Bengal, narrated by her daughter. Its authentic storytelling and focus on early detection make it a hit, effectively promoting awareness and Fujifilm's commitment to healthcare.

Havells Grooming Kit ad

Havells' latest ad features Vicky Kaushal promoting the Super Grooming Kit, emphasizing the message #TakeChargeofYourLook. The campaign showcases the product's precision and versatility, aligning with modern men's grooming needs. Kaushal's charismatic presence and the ad's relatable narrative make it a hit, effectively engaging the target audience.

Maruti Suzuki with Kartik Aaryan

Maruti Suzuki's "More Power to Your Play" campaign features Kartik Aaryan highlighting the Brezza's youthful appeal. His energetic persona aligns with the car's dynamic features, effectively targeting young buyers. The engaging narrative and strategic celebrity endorsement make this campaign a hit.

Zupee ad

Zupee's "India Ka Apna Game" campaign features Salman Khan in relatable scenarios, highlighting instant withdrawals and low-cost entry points. However, the ad's reliance on Khan's star power may overshadow the product's unique features, making it a miss for audiences seeking deeper engagement.

Kinder Creamy Mom's choice

Kinder Creamy's latest advertisement features Sameera Reddy and Mira Rajput Kapoor endorsing the product's taste and quality. Their genuine appreciation and relatable presentation effectively highlight Kinder Creamy's appeal, making it a hit among consumers.

boAt Ad

boAt's "Made in India for the World" campaign underscores the brand's commitment to quality and innovation. By highlighting its Indian manufacturing roots, boAt appeals to national pride and resonates with consumers seeking globally competitive products. This strategic messaging positions boAt as a hit in the market.

HDFC Life Ad

HDFC Life's "My Child, My Pride" ad features parents reflecting on their children's potential, emphasizing proactive planning for their future. While well-intentioned, its overly sentimental tone and focus on financial planning might not connect with younger, more spontaneous audiences. Thus, it's a miss, as it lacks broader appeal.

Littles Soft Pants with Yami

Little's Fluffy Soft Pants ad featuring Yami Gautam emphasizes comfort and protection for babies. While informative, the ad's focus on product features may not emotionally engage parents seeking a deeper connection. This approach makes it a miss in terms of consumer engagement.

Taneira Saree Expert

Taneira's latest campaign features Singer Usha Uthup and Mrunal Thakur, portraying a bride transitioning from her childhood home to a new life. The ad captures the emotional journey of brides across India, highlighting the saree as a symbol of tradition and transformation. Its authentic storytelling and cultural resonance make it a hit, effectively connecting with the audience.
