Hindustan Unilever Limited on Wednesday announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the premium actives-led beauty brand Minimalist.
According to the conglomerate, this marks another step in the transformation journey of its beauty and wellbeing portfolio towards evolving and higher growth demand spaces.
"HUL's acquisition of a 90% stake in Minimalist for Rs 2,955 crore is a BIG BIG WIN for the entire Indian D2C ecosystem," said Aman Gupta, Co-Founder and CMO at boAt Lifestyle, in a social media post.
He called the deal the result of "years of effort and commitment" changing the country’s future.
