He got a hero’s welcome at FCB when he took over, replete with dhol, tasha and shehnai and their entire Mumbai office in attendance. It was a reception which set the standards rather high for any industry CEO who was jumping ship. Today marks a year since the day, when Dheeraj Sinha was made CEO, India and South Asia of FCB Group. His appointment meant heralding change at FCB, a step towards the agency’s digital future. Even for Rohit Ohri who passed on the baton to him, the choice was crystal clear back then, ‘If not Dheeraj, I don’t know who’.

So, the question is, has Sinha just as clearly delivered on the promise and the expectations from him at the Group, has he managed to win digital businesses which may have been out of reach for a traditional heavy FCB and can he manage to make FCB look good on a global stage like Cannes Lions with his new army of handpicked agency CEOs and CCOs, in the coming year – which is truly his litmus test?

In an in-depth conversation with Neeta Nair, Editor of IMPACT Magazine, we go through Sinha’s one-year report card, which comprises high double-digit growth for the agency, 54 new business wins amounting to $3 million in revenue in 2024 alone and more.
