Budweiser calls for creative pitch in India

Budweiser, the global brand from the house of one of the world's leading brewer, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) has called for a pitch for the brand's advertising campaigns in India. Highly-placed sources have shared with exchange4media that the pitch is happening out of Bangalore.
The names of the agencies invited for the pitch and the ad spends for the brands couldn't be ascertained at the time of filing this report. Officials from Budweiser, when contacted, refused to comment on the development.
It is also learnt that the agencies in question are required to have considerable global exposure and reach, and should have handled similar accounts.
Recently, the brand has also launched a remake of its global advert, ‘Whassup Bud’, in India, urging people to check in on their buds virtually and continue to actively maintain social distance, despite the easing of the phased lockdown.
For the record, InBev has been operating in India since 2007 through a joint venture with the country's largest bottler RJ Corp., while Anheuser-Busch entered India in the same year through another joint venture with Crown Beers.
