Amazon Online India enters top 10 advertisers category in Week 30: BARC
Wheel Active 2 in 1 replaced Surf Excel Easy to become the leading brand of Week 30
As the lockdown restriction eases in the country, TV is witnessing an increase in ad volumes by advertisers and brands. Week 30 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) has witnessed a slight increase in total number of insertions and also entry of new brands and advertisers. The advertisers’ total increased by 0.15% to 669,750 insertions in Week 30 against 668,736 in Week 29. Similarly, brands' insertion too increased a little by 0.95% to 142, 566 as compared to 141, 223 in the previous week.
In the advertisers' category, Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser with 280,449 insertions, followed by Reckitt Benckiser with 150,176 insertions.
Brooke Bond Lipton India bagged third spot this week with 40,371 insertions followed by ITC at fourth spot with 38,783 insertions and Colgate Palmolive India on fifth spot with 36,073 insertions.
Amazon Online India entered the top 10 list this week and bagged sixth spot with 25,411 insertions. Wipro had the seventh spot with 25,288 insertions. Procter & Gamble stood at the eighth spot with 25,186 insertions and Godrej Consumer Products on ninth spot with 24,883 insertions. Ponds India bagged the tenth spot with 23,130 insertions.
In the brands category, Wheel Active 2 in 1 replaced Surf Excel Easy Wash to become the leading brand this week with 16,997 insertions, followed by Dettol Toilet Soaps on second position with 16,699 insertions and Lux Toilet Soap on third spot with 16,640 insertions. Dettol Antiseptic Liquid bagged fourth spot with 16,471 insertions and Surf Excel Easy Wash grabbed the fifth spot with 15,720 insertions.
Rummycircle.com, Colgate Swarna Vedshakti and Lizol with 13676 insertions, 12990 insertions and 11791 insertions bagged sixth, seventh and eighth positions respectively. Horlicks and Dettol Liquid Soap stood at the ninth and tenth spots with 10904 insertions and 10678 insertions, respectively.
