Kainaz Karmakar is the Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy India, a role she has held since February 2020. With a career spanning over two decades in advertising, Karmakar has established herself as a formidable creative force in the industry.

Karmakar's creative leadership has led to numerous accolades for Ogilvy India. She has guided her team to win over 40 awards at global award shows, including Cannes Golds, One Show Gold, D&AD White Pencil, and Asia's first Cannes Grand Prix for Creative Effectiveness. Her work on ITC Savlon's Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks was featured as 'Iconic Work of the Decade' in the Cannes Creativity Report of the Decade published in 2020.

Known for her "brave" approach to creativity, Karmakar has served on juries for prestigious advertising awards such as Spikes, One Show, D&AD, Clio, and Cannes. She is passionate about nurturing young talent, having taught the craft of writing to advertising students.

Karmakar's journey in advertising includes significant roles at agencies like JWT and Leo Burnett before joining Ogilvy. Her partnership with Harshad Rajadhyaksha has been a cornerstone of her creative success at Ogilvy.
