Megha Tata is a seasoned leader in the Media and Entertainment industry, with over 30 years of expertise in business management, strategic growth, and leadership.

A freelance strategic advisor and independent director, Tata took over as the CEO at Cosmos Maya, a Singapore and India-based animation company that produces 3D and 2D animation content, in October 2022 and held it till March 2024.

Before assuming this role, she held the position of managing director at Discovery Communications India for over three years.

Having held key leadership positions at renowned organizations such as Star, Turner, HBO, BTVI, and Discovery, she has consistently delivered excellence in revenue generation, strategic negotiations, profit and loss management, and business operations.

Recognized for her ability to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities, Megha has a proven track record of closing exclusive deals and implementing innovative marketing strategies.

Her contributions to the industry have earned her multiple accolades, including being named among the ‘Next 30’ most powerful women to watch in 2010 and one of India’s hottest young executives in media in 2009 by Business Today.

She has consistently been featured among the top 50 influential women in media, marketing, and advertising by IMPACT and was honored with the Women Leadership Award by the World Women Leadership Congress in 2014.

Additionally, she was recognized among India’s top 100 important people in the industry by Digital Studio and awarded “Women of the Decade in Media” by the Women Economic Forum in 2018. Most recently, she was named among Asia's Most Inspirational Women in Leadership for 2022 by House of Rose Professional.

A leader with a commitment to industry growth, Megha served as Vice President of the International Advertising Association (IAA) India Chapter from 2016 to 2018 and made history as the second woman to be elected President of IAA India (2020-2022). She currently serves as the Immediate Past President of IAA.
