
This week the news of veteran politician, Arun Jaitley's passing saw many tributes pouring in to remember the man who was also known as one of the most media-friendly politicians. We also examined TRAI's consultation paper on tariff-related issues for broadcasting and cable services. With PV Sindhu winning the World Badminton Championship Gold, we looked at how this win impacts her brand value.
This week, the Union Cabinet announced the approval of 26 per cent FDI in digital media. The announcements were in line with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s Budget promise of further opening up of FDI in several sectors.
The week also saw several people movements, including media veteran Barun Das joining TV9 as Chief Executive Officer. Sanjeev Chopra was appointed as Senior Vice President and Head McCann Health - Delhi, while Happy mcgarrybowen roped in Mahendra Bhagat as National Creative Director.
Also, SITI Networks Limited has appointed Anil Malhotra as Chief Executive Officer.
