Kyoko Matsushita has been elevated as APAC CEO of WPP Creative. She announced the news of her new role through a LinkedIn post.
"Exciting News & A New Chapter! I'm thrilled and humbled to share that I'm stepping into a new adventure as WPP Creative APAC CEO", the LinkedIn post read.
In her post, she expressed excitement on taking up the new role at the organisation. "Now, I'm excited to take on this new challenge across the dynamic and vibrant Asia Pacific region. APAC is a hotbed of creativity and potential, and my varied global and industry experiences only reinforce my belief in the immense possibilities here. By bringing together our collective ingenuity and diverse perspectives, we can unlock unparalleled growth for our clients and our people", she added.
Prior to this, Kyoko Matsushita was CEO of WPP Japan. In this role, Kyoko was responsible for WPP’s business in Japan, strengthening its collective capabilities and bringing together people and resources on behalf of clients.
Before that, Kyoko was the Chief Executive Officer for Essence Global, WPP’s global data and measurement-driven full-service media agency. She joined Essence in 2014 as the first CEO of the APAC region.
Kyoko is a seasoned leader with significant Asia Pacific, gaming and technology experience. Before being named Essence Global’s CEO, Kyoko served as the agency's first Global Chief Client Officer, leading the Client Services practice, client satisfaction, and organic and new business growth.
