Uber has announced a leadership change in its finance team. Long-time company executive Balaji Krishnamurthy will take over as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as current CFO Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah steps down from the role.
Even after leaving the CFO position, Mahendra-Rajah will remain with Uber as a senior finance advisor to CEO Dara Khosrowshahi until July 1, 2026, ensuring a smooth transition.
Krishnamurthy currently serves as Vice President of Strategic Finance. He joined Uber in 2019 and previously led the company’s investor relations function from 2020 to 2023. Over the years, he has played an important role in shaping Uber’s financial strategy and strengthening its relationships with investors.
The leadership update comes at a time when Uber continues to show strong financial performance. The company recently reported a 20% quarter-on-quarter increase in revenue, reaching $14.4 billion.
