Shivnath Thukral joins PhonePe after a stint with Meta as its Vice President of Public Policy

PhonePe has announced that it has appointed Shivnath Thukral as Vice President for Public Policy and Government Affairs. In this role, Shivnath will be responsible for leading PhonePe’s external engagement and discussions with policy makers and regulators to ensure the company continues to innovate and create a positive impact in the Indian economy, while also building on its thought leadership in the industry. Shivnath will be part of the leadership team at PhonePe and work closely with founders Sameer Nigam and Rahul Chari and other leaders, stated a press release.

Shivnath Thukral joins PhonePe after an impactful stint at Meta as its Vice President of Public Policy to where he led the organisation as a strategic thinker, business leader and an effective advocate on regulatory issues related to technology and financial inclusion. Shivnath in recent years has emerged as a leading policy professional occupying important positions in various industry associations such as BIF, USISPF, PAFI etc.
