Sanofi India Limited has announced that its Board of Directors, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, has named Deepak Arora as the company’s new Managing Director. His appointment will take effect from October 27, 2025, subject to approvals from shareholders and the Central Government.
 
As Managing Director, Deepak will lead Sanofi’s India strategy in line with the company’s global direction. He will focus on driving innovation, improving agility across the organisation, and strengthening operational performance across all functions. He will also play a key role in promoting Sanofi’s culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
 
Deepak brings more than three decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, having worked across regions including North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Over the years, he has held senior leadership roles spanning commercial operations, sales and marketing, and general management, and has been involved in business acquisitions and long-term growth initiatives at multinational companies.
 
Welcoming the appointment, Aditya Narayan, Chairman of the Board of Sanofi India Limited, said the Board is pleased to have Deepak take on the role. He noted that Deepak’s wide-ranging global experience aligns well with Sanofi’s commitment to serving patients across India and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the company’s continued growth and innovation.
 
Deepak holds a bachelor’s degree in Botany and Zoology from the University of Lucknow and an MBA from Indira Gandhi National Open University.
