Fintech company BharatPe has named Ajit Kumar as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), with his appointment set to take effect from October 23, 2025.
Before joining BharatPe, Kumar spent close to nine years at Paytm, where he came on board in 2017 as a general manager and went on to hold key technology roles.
He will step into the role following the departure of Pankaj Goel, who resigned from the position in May this year.
According to the company, Kumar will be responsible for leading BharatPe’s overall technology vision and driving innovation across its payments and lending products.
Commenting on the appointment, BharatPe CEO Nalin Negi said that Kumar’s strong track record in developing large-scale fintech platforms, along with his in-depth knowledge of payments systems and UPI, will play a vital role in enhancing the company’s technology capabilities and future growth.
