Hemant Bakshi has been appointed as the Managing Director and Global Chief Executive Officer of EPL, effective January 1, 2026.
Bakshi joins EPL after spending 15 years at Unilever, where he held several senior leadership roles across different markets. His most recent position was Executive Vice President of Unilever Marketplace.
At Unilever Marketplace, Bakshi built a digital-first eB2B business that connected directly with more than 250,000 traditional retail stores across 12 markets in Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.
EPL’s current MD and Global CEO, Anand Kripalu, will continue to lead the company during the transition to ensure a smooth handover. He will then retire and hand over the leadership to Bakshi.
After his retirement, Kripalu will remain on EPL’s Board and continue to support the company as it enters its next phase of growth.
