Hemant Bakshi has been appointed as the MD and Global CEO of EPL, effective January 1, 2026.
Hemant Bakshi comes after helming several leadership roles across regions in Unilever. He was with Unilever for 15 years and his last position was as EVP Unilever Marketplace.
At Unilever Marketplace, he built a digitally native eB2B business that connects directly with more than 250,000 traditional trade stores across 12 markets in Latam, Asia and Middle-East.
The current MD & Global CEO, Anand Kripalu, will continue to lead the company through the interim period to ensure a smooth transition, before retiring and passing the baton to Bakshi.
He will thereafter remain on the Board of EPL to guide the Company’s next phase of growth.
