Rajesh Sareen to join ZMCL as Chief Revenue Officer

Rajesh Sareen is set to be appointed as the Chief Revenue Officer at Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL). With over two decades of experience in the media and advertising industry, Sarin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role at ZMCL. Sareen is a highly experienced media and advertising professional with over two decades of expertise in driving revenue across leading media companies. Currently, he serves as the Head of Revenue for CNBC & CNN News Cluster at Network18 Media, where he manages TV and digital revenue for English and business news. His strategic leadership has been instrumental in navigating the highly competitive media landscape.

Before his current role, Sareen was the EVP & National Revenue Head of the Languages News Cluster at Network18, where he led revenue operations for eight regional language channels. His role involved overseeing sales across TV and digital platforms, building relationships with advertisers, and driving market growth.

Prior to Network18, Sareen held various leadership positions at Disney Star, including National Head for Agency Business, where he led media agency partnerships for the entertainment business. His tenure at Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (Times Group) as National Sales Head of the Language Business further solidified his expertise in managing large teams and revenue portfolios across print brands.

Sareen has also played a key role at HT Media Ltd., where he headed media marketing for key verticals like FMCG, automobiles, and consumer electronics. He has extensive experience managing sales and marketing teams, developing strategies for revenue growth, and navigating challenges in both the television and print media industries.

Throughout his career, Sareen has worked with some of the most prestigious media houses in India, including The Indian Express and Open Media Network Pvt. Ltd., demonstrating his versatility and deep understanding of the media landscape. His work in managing marketing operations for diverse sectors such as debt instruments at VCK Capital Market Services Ltd. and mandates for public issues at SRG Infotech (India) Ltd.adds to his wide-ranging experience.

He holds Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Punjab University.
