Hindi newspaper Prabhat Khabar has promoted senior journalist Ankit Shukla to the position of Group Editor. Previously, Shukla served as the newspaper's Managing Editor.
Speaking to Samachar4media, Ankit Shukla said that in his new role, he will be responsible for both the print and digital editorials of the newspaper. He will be responsible for driving the group's various editions and digital expansion strategy.
Ankit Shukla has over two decades of media experience, having worked with reputed Hindi and English newspapers in various states.
Ankit Shukla, an alumnus of Makhanlal Chaturvedi Journalism University in Bhopal, began his media career at the Hindustan Times. He then worked at the Times of India and Jagran iNext. He then spent 17 years at the Dainik Bhaskar Group, serving in various roles, rising from Chief Sub-Editor to State Editor (Jharkhand and Bihar).
After Dainik Bhaskar, Ankit Shukla worked as a senior editor at Amar Ujala, Kanpur, and then joined Prabhat Khabar, where he has now been promoted from managing editor to group editor. According to inside sources, Ankit Shukla was appointed to this newspaper with the intention of playing a more prominent role.
It should be noted that senior journalist Ashutosh Chaturvedi previously held the position of Group Editor at Prabhat Khabar. Following his recent appointment as Information Commissioner in the Central Information Commission, Ankit Shukla has been given this responsibility.
