Ajai Kumar Shukla joins PNB Housing Finance leadership team

PNB Housing Finance Limited has appointed Ajai Kumar Shukla as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term starting December 18, 2025, following Board approval and necessary regulatory clearances.
Shukla brings over 30 years of experience in the housing and mortgage finance sector, previously serving in senior roles at Tata Capital Housing Finance Limited for 16 years, and has also worked with ICICI Bank and LIC Housing Finance Limited.
The Chairperson of PNB Housing Finance expressed confidence in Shukla's industry knowledge and leadership skills to support the company's growth and create long-term value for stakeholders.
Shukla emphasized his commitment to operational excellence, customer trust, and fostering a culture of innovation and inclusive growth within the organization.

PNB Housing Finance Limited has named Ajai Kumar Shukla as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a tenure of five years, effective from December 18, 2025. The appointment was cleared by the Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.

With over three decades of experience in the housing and mortgage finance sector, Shukla joins PNB Housing Finance from Tata Capital Housing Finance Limited, where he spent 16 years in senior leadership positions. Over the years, he has overseen critical functions such as business growth, credit and risk management, valuation, digital transformation and affordable housing finance. Earlier in his career, he also worked with ICICI Bank and LIC Housing Finance Limited.

Commenting on the appointment, Surendran, Chairperson and Non-Executive Nominee Director of PNB Housing Finance, said the Board is delighted to welcome Shukla as MD & CEO. He noted that Shukla’s deep understanding of the industry, along with his leadership skills and strong track record, will support the company as it enters its next stage of growth and help create long-term value for customers and stakeholders.

Sharing his views, Ajai Kumar Shukla said that PNB Housing Finance is widely recognised as a trusted institution in the housing finance industry. Shukla holds a postgraduate qualification in Finance from CSJM University, Kanpur, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Kanpur University.
