Partha Sinha, one of India’s most respected names in media and brand strategy, has moved on from Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India Group), where he served as the President and Chief Brand Officer, e4m has learnt.

Sinha is now set to join a multinational corporation in an advisory capacity, marking a new chapter in his illustrious career, highly placed sources said.

Sinha confirmed his departure from the Times of India Group but declined to elaborate on his next move. “I would not like to comment on my new role as of now,” he said.

His departure from BCCL closes a significant chapter, one that saw him lead revenue transformation, brand innovation, and audience-centric repositioning for some of the country’s most iconic media properties.

Sinha joined The Times of India Group in 2020 as President, Response—the revenue arm of the organisation. He played a pivotal role in accelerating business recovery post-COVID, sharpening the group’s monetisation engine, and championing brand-led innovation.

In July 2024, he was elevated as President and Chief Brand Officer, overseeing all consumer-facing brand portfolios of BCCL, including The Times of India, Economic Times, Femina, and Mirror.

A rare blend of engineer, marketer, and brand thinker, Sinha has spent over three decades shaping the business and cultural narratives of some of the most influential organisations in India.

An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Ahmedabad, Sinha began his professional journey as a nuclear design engineer before pivoting into marketing at Citibank N.A. He soon found his true calling in advertising and brand strategy, taking on leadership roles at Ogilvy & Mather, Publicis, Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH), and McCann Worldgroup India, where he served as Vice Chairman and Managing Director.

During his stint at Ogilvy, Sinha was instrumental in establishing strategic planning as a discipline in the Indian advertising landscape. His tenure at BBH and McCann further cemented his reputation as a brand architect who could marry business metrics with cultural relevance.
