IKEA India has announced the appointment of Patrik Antoni as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective August 2025, the company said in a release.
In the newly restructured leadership setup, Patrik will work alongside the Country Retail Manager & Chief Sustainability Officer to build a unified “One IKEA India” approach, streamlining retail operations and aligning Ingka Group companies’ efforts in the region, the company said in a release.
Having previously served as Deputy CEO at IKEA India, Patrik brings deep familiarity with the Indian market. He was instrumental in opening IKEA’s first India store in Hyderabad. His most recent role was General Manager of IKEA Russia, where he oversaw Ingka operations during a critical period of growth and transformation.
“I am honored and excited to return to India, a market that holds a special place in my heart and in my career,” said Patrik Antoni. “India is a truly unique market with immense potential for growth. I look forward to bringing my experience, energy, and deep commitment to IKEA’s values to support our ambitious expansion plans.”
The change in leadership follows the departure of Susanne Pulverer, current Country Retail Manager & CSO, who has decided to move on after a 28-year career at IKEA, including 8+ years in India.
“I am very grateful for the incredible years at IKEA, especially the unforgettable experiences in India,” said Pulverer. “While handing over to new leadership, I am excited to start a new chapter in my life.”
