As Priya Nair officially took charge as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) today, she took to LinkedIn to share her reflections on returning to lead the company where her journey began.
In a post that blended pride, purpose, and optimism, Priya Nair wrote, “Today marks a new beginning as I return to my alma mater Hindustan Unilever Limited as the MD & CEO. I am honoured to be trusted with this responsibility, and humbled to receive the baton from a league of extraordinary leaders who have helped make HUL one of the largest and most respected FMCG companies in India today.”

Nair succeeds Rohit Jawa, who moves into a global leadership role at Unilever, the Anglo-Dutch parent company.
For the first time in its history, Hindustan Unilever will be led by a woman. He appointment marks a major milestone for both the company and corporate India.
