Prior to this, Varun Sharma was with Google for close to 9 years. He last held the role of Managing Director, Product Strategy & Sales Operations, Americas.
Sharma shared the news of his new role through a LinkedIn post. “To New Beginnings! After 17 incredible years, it’s time for me to say goodbye to Google and embark on a new adventure. And that’s exactly where I’m headed next — thrilled to share that I’ll be joining Netflix to lead Global Market Activation & GTM Operations for the Ads business. In his new role at Netflix, Vikas Sharma will be responsible for market and sales activation for all Netflix Ad launches. This includes end to end Product and Ads commercialization, Product Marketing, Global Sales Enablement, GTM strategy & operations.
